The best of Time: Rolex wristwatches: An unauthorized History
There are few decent books available about Rolex watches. Therefore, Dowling and Hess' massive tome on the subject is an extremely welcome addition to the subject. Their book is definitely well-researched, producing what is currently the definitive book on Rolex. Brief but informative chapters about some of the most recognizable Rolex designs (e.g., Explorer, Submariner, Daytona, OysterQuartz...) are augmented by beautiful color reproductions of the models they discuss. Furthermore, the authors provide very informative chapters regarding the Perpetual movement, chronometers, and the history of the company. Simply stated, this is THE Rolex book. If you love Rolex, this book is a must. -
The Rolex Report: An Unauthorized Reference Book for the Rolex Enthusiast
Purchased this book and read it cover-to-cover. Refer to it regularly as well. Solid reference, but all images are in B&W and would be MUCH more effective in color, even if cost would be more. B&W is simply not a good substitute for color when dealing with images of watch dials, watch movements, inscriptions on watches, and comparison's between real and counterfeit Rolexes where the subtleties are important. Book needs editing and polishing -

A Movement in Time with Breitling and Rolex, An unauthorized history
f you are a knowledgeable (or even semi-knowledgable) watch person wanting to add to your library (or a person who thinks that a book, any book, should be proofread before being published) avoid this book - the pictures are worthless (I should have known by the out of focus cover shot), the writing/grammar beyond terrible and you will not learn one thing new. Plus the paper quality is below that of a 49 cent coloring book at Wal-Mart. -
Rolex wrist watch price guide book 1: Retail and Vintage 1990 prices
Pricebook of 1990, Retail and Vintage -
Rolex
or those who appreciate aesthetics and beauty, they'll enjoy looking at the various types of Rolexes in this book. Massive, coffee table size and fascinating to browse through. But do yourself a favor and get the first edition as it should appreciate in value over time. It was published in 1988, not 1989. -
